Oerlee "Pat" Permenter Jacobs, a former longtime resident of Nashville, GA, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at the age of 88 in Spartanburg, SC. She was born on October 6, 1937 in Tuscaloosa, AL, to the “late” William Roscoe Permenter and Trannie Elizabeth Traweek Permenter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons Danny Eugene Watkins and Ricky Howard Watkins; her sisters Eunice Bevill and Willodean Kuykendall and a brother, Roy Eugene Permenter.

A resident of Nashville, GA most of her life, she was a homemaker, retired beekeeper and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Adel, GA. Pat was known for her strong faith in her beliefs as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, a dedication that spanned 53 years. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in her daily actions and her approach to helping others. Pat's kindness extended beyond her spiritual community, touching the lives of all those she met.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Pat “MoMo / MawMaw” leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her sons, Phillip Watkins and Stoney Watkins and his wife Susie; her daughter, Cretia LeBlanc and her husband Jeff; and her grandchildren, Scott Watkins, Blaine Watkins and his wife Jessy, Buddy Watkins and his wife Jordan, and Katelyn Thomas and her husband Skyler Thomas, Blake Watkins and his wife Reina, Lauren Watkins-Ayala and her husband Aharony, Hayden Watkins, Skyler LeBlanc and his wife Kaitlyn, Dakota LeBlanc, Sterling LeBlanc, Pat was also a proud great-grandmother to Asher Thomas, Kimber Thomas, Sebastian LeBlanc and Benedict LeBlanc. Pat had many more that she loved like family even though they were not of blood relation.

Pat enjoyed having a garden and growing her own food. She loved to cook for her family and friends, especially her famous biscuits and tomato gravy, banana pudding and blueberry cobbler, which were legendary within her family circle. Pat's love for cooking was matched only by her love for spending time with her loved ones and playing games, with Rook cards and "4 pics 1 word" being amongst her favorites.

Those who knew Pat will remember her for her loving heart, her kind spirit, and her infectious sense of humor. She had the rare ability to light up a room with her laughter and to make everyone feel at home in her presence. Pat's legacy will live on through the countless memories she created with those she loved as well as beautiful poetry and songs that her family cherishes. Her impact on the people around her was as profound as the love she gave so freely, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
