Pamela Kay Tucker, known affectionately as Pam by her friends and family, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 69. Born on July 19, 1956, in Newark, NJ, Pam was a joy to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Pam was the beloved daughter of the late Lori and George Tucker. She worked for many years as a racehorse groom on some of the most prestigious tracks. Her passion for racehorses was evident in the meticulous care she provided to these majestic creatures, and she had the rare gift of being able to work with even the most spirited animals, gaining their trust.
Pam is survived by her cousins, Kim Nevitt and Marc Knobel and his wife Tracy. She was also a cherished niece of Rodney Gibson, and aunt to Johanna DuBois. Pam's spirit of independence and strength was a source of inspiration to her family, and her absence will leave a void that cannot be filled.
Pam's love for her dogs was well known. She found great joy in hiking with her canine companions, exploring the beauty of nature, and embracing the freedom of the great outdoors.
Taking care of her parents in their later years, Pam demonstrated a profound sense of duty and compassion. Her independent nature was balanced by her deep commitment to family, and she approached every challenge with a combination of humor and resolve.
