Pamela Lu
Wolverton
December 5, 1941 – April 1, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Pamela Lu Wolverton, who went to be with the Lord in the early morning of Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 84.
Born in Angola, Indiana, on December 5, 1941, Pam was the daughter of the late Glen and Mary Beatty. She is survived by her three sons and their families: Shane and Ann Wolverton (Bryn and Colten) of Greenville, SC; Tobin and Amanda Wolverton (Beatty and Calhoun) of Atlanta, GA; and Tagg and Susan Wolverton (Ben, Anna, Graeme, and Olivia) of Rock Hill, SC.
A graduate of Ball State University, Pam met her husband of over 60 years, Steve Wolverton, during her time there. After living throughout Indiana, they settled in Columbus to raise their family. Pam was a dedicated homemaker who found great joy in creative pursuits along with pouring into her family and close friends.
In her early thirties, Pam’s life was radically transformed when she came to know Christ through Bible Study Fellowship. Her deep love for Jesus and commitment to her faith were the hallmarks of her life. Locally, she served as a Children’s Director for Bible Study Fellowship in the Upstate, was a founding member of Brookwood Church in Mauldin, and was an active volunteer at Taylors First Baptist Church. Together with Steve, she led many small groups, sharing the peace and healing found in Christ.
In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bible Study Fellowship, an organization very dear to both Pam and Steve, at https://www.bsfinternational.org/support/.
Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals is honored to serve the family of Pamela Wolverton.
We invite all family and friends who knew Pamela to share stories, memories, and condolences in our online guestbook below.
