Paul Thomas Hood, born on January 2, 1960, in Sandusky, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in Greer, South Carolina.

A man of deep faith, Tom was an active member of the Washington Avenue Church of God, where he nurtured his faith and built lasting relationships within the community. He was not only intelligent but possessed a wisdom that resonated with those around him. He was a dedicated CNC Machinist specializing in working with wood and glass, and his craftsmanship and attention to detail reflected his adventurous spirit and wise demeanor. His love for life was evident in his hobbies, whether he was riding his motorcycle through the beautiful landscapes of Cherokee, NC, exploring communication as an amateur ham radio operator, or finding tranquility in fishing and reading his Bible.

Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathy Hood, and their three children: Matt Hood (Ashley), Tim Hood (Alissa), and Kaley Hood (Chris). He cherished each moment spent with his seven grandchildren: Brayden, Aleah, Alivia, Kenzie, Jack, Logan, and Noah, along with two step-grandchildren, Jaxon and Mason. The laughter and love that filled his home will forever be a testament to his legacy.

He is survived by his brother, David Hood (Nikki), who, along with the entire family, will carry forward the love and lessons Tom imparted during his time with them. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hood; his mother, Nellie "Griggs" Hood; his sister, Kathy Grant; and his brother, Joe "Sam" Hood. The loss of Tom leaves a poignant void, yet his memory will continue to inspire and guide those he has touched throughout his life.

As we reflect on the life of Paul Thomas Hood, we celebrate a remarkable man whose influence will resonate through the lives of his loved ones for generations to come.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 3pm, at Washington Avenue Church of God, 101 S Washington Ave, Greenville, SC 29611
