Perry Dean Palmer

Perry Dean Palmer, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Henry Dean Palmer and Ruby Vaughn Palmer. Due to the early death of his parents, he was reared in the home of his Grandparents, Hilton and Gertrude Palmer.

Dean married the love of his life, Lou Ella C. Palmer, and they were blessed with 60 years of happiness and enduring love. Together they raised one daughter, Tonya M. Palmer. He was a devoted husband, father and friend to all who knew him. Dean was known for his eternal optimism. He was an avid golfer, loved the beach, traveling and the South Carolina Gamecocks. He worked in engineering reprographics and support most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Ella C. Palmer, daughter, Tonya M. Palmer (Somer), sister-in-laws, Edna C. Garrett, Ruth C. Smith, and Jo Ann Childress. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
