Rachel Mia Tallis of Greenville, SC, passed away over the July 4th weekend, 2026, at the age of 61. She was born on March 2, 1965, in Swansea, Wales, and moved to the United States as a child, where she grew up in Louisiana. After graduating from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, she spent a long career as a market research analyst working for numerous national and international companies. Rachel was a lifelong Christian, and her faith and membership in the Episcopal Church were a guiding light throughout her life. She was a passionate cook and a lover of music. She was well known for being energetic, outgoing, and for making friends and building community wherever she went. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents and her son Daniel and is survived by her sons Allen (Marc) and Philip, her brothers Mark (Alice) and Justin (Carlina), her granddaughter Hazel, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Episcopal at 10 N Church St, Greenville, SC, at 2 pm on July 31, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County (www.habitatgreenville.org).
