Rebecca Lynn Pudik

Rebecca Lynn Pudik, a beacon of warmth and generosity, passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on November 1, 1951, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, she was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, and mother.

Rebecca's life was marked by an unwavering spirit of optimism and a heart that knew no bounds when it came to giving. She was the beloved wife of Mark Pudik, with whom she shared a life full of love and mutual respect. Together, they raised three wonderful sons: Andrew, Adam, and Dane, who will carry on her legacy of kindness and compassion. She was a sister to Carol Gano, Richard Thar, Paul Thar, Adele Zieser, and the late Linda Walwer and Mathew Thar. Rebecca was a devoted daughter to her mother, Sarah Thar, and was preceded in death by her father, Richard Thar.

Rebecca's professional life was as fulfilling as her personal one. She dedicated many years as an Administrative Assistant for Caterpillar Tractor Co., where she was known for her friendly demeanor and her ability to brighten even the busiest of days and served as a Special Education Assistant for Washington Community High School, a role that allowed her to touch the lives of many students and staff with her unwavering support and encouragement.

Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional endeavors. Rebecca was an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, where she contributed not just her time but also her enthusiasm for helping families build a place to call home. Her dedication to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Awareness organization reflected her generous spirit and her desire to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Rebecca's interests painted a picture of a woman who cherished life's simple pleasures. She found solace in the serenity of her garden, where she cultivated not only plants but also joy and peace. Her love for walking was matched only by her passion for music, as she enjoyed the rhythms of R&B, Country, the melodies of Pop, and the soothing tunes of Soft Rock.
