Rebekah Addis Ross, 74, beloved wife of Tommy Ross, passed away October 20, 2024, at home following a courageous battle with breast and bone cancer.
She was born October 28, 1949 in Greenville, SC, to the late Johnnie Addis and Marie Garrett Addis.
Becky grew up in the San Souci area and was a 1967 graduate of Parker High School. She was a member of Calvary First Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, helped with the Manna Food Ministry, and many other organizations as long as her health permitted. Becky retired from Guardian Building Products in 2017.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Faith and Jamie Lowe of Travelers Rest and her son and daughter-in-law John and Cheryl Ross of Williamston. She is survived by two grandsons that she loved dearly, Zackary and Camden Lowe; her sister and brother-in-law Martha and Ted Floyd of Columbia; a niece Keri Floyd and a nephew and spouse Baron and April Addis; a great niece and two great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Addis and a brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Glenda Addis.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the loving care that the staff of Lutheran Hospice provide. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Manna Ministry, Calvary First Baptist Church, 11 Tampa St., Greenville, SC 29609.
A celebration of Life will be at Calvary First Baptist Church and will be conducted by Rev. Caleb Durham and Rev. Randy Drew on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 2:45 P.M. with a visitation prior from 1:00-2:30 P.M.
