Richard Dennis Eppes, a man known for his loving heart, kind spirit, sharp wit, and deep faith, passed away on April 12, 2026. Born on September 24, 1945, Richard lived a life rich with devotion to those he cherished and a passion for the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Richard’s warmth and humor were the cornerstones of his character, endearing him to family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His faith guided him through life’s trials and triumphs, never wavering and always shining as a beacon of hope and strength to those around him. Richard was a man whose presence was felt through his gentle kindness and contagious laughter.
An avid fan of NASCAR and football, Richard's enthusiasm for the Green Bay Packers was well known among family and friends. These interests provided him with endless joy and countless memories shared with loved ones who appreciated his spirited dedication. Above all, his greatest passion was family; they were the light of his life and his steadfast source of pride and happiness.
Richard leaves behind a loving family who will carry forward his legacy of love and faith. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann Eppes; his cherished daughter, Allison Alger; and his beloved son, Richard "Stump" Eppes. Alongside them stand his caring sons-in-law, John Alger and Elizabeth Eppes. Richard's heart was made fuller by the presence of his treasured grandchildren: Cooper Bostick, Jackson Eppes, and Carter Eppes, each a testament to the enduring love and joyful moments he so richly deserved.
He was a pillar of strength and kindness within his family and community, and his memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew him. Richard Dennis Eppes’ life was a beautiful example of faith, laughter, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly honored by those whose lives he touched.
