Ricky Theodore Rodriguez

July 27, 1961 — March 14, 2024

Fountain Inn, SC

Ricky Theodore Rodriguez, known affectionately as Ricky to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Born on July 27, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, Ricky was a beacon of joy and laughter throughout his 62 years of life.

Ricky graduated with a high school diploma and soon after served his country in the armed forces. He was proud to be an Army Veteran. After his service, he found his calling on the open road as a trucker. His career behind the wheel spanned many years, during which he not only delivered goods across the country but also shared his infectious laughter and stories with everyone he met. Ricky's colleagues in the trucking industry will remember him as a man who could brighten even the longest of hauls with his humor and kindness.

Beyond his professional life, Ricky was known in his community as "Santa Ricky," a moniker he earned for his annual transformation into Santa Claus during the holiday season. His love for playing Santa was only matched by his passion for football, specifically his Georgia Bulldogs, a sport he followed with enthusiasm and joy. Ricky's ability to joke and laugh, even in the face of adversity, made him a beloved figure not only at home but wherever he went.

Ricky's legacy is carried on by his loving family: his loving wife Wanda Rodriguez, his brother Anthony Rodriguez, sister Angela Rodriguez, daughter Gwyn Booth, son-in-law Michael Booth, and new grandbaby on the way,  son Jesse Rodriguez, daughter Danniel McCraw, son-in-law Jason McCraw, and his cherished grandson Lee Powell. He was predeceased by his mother, Regina Rodriguez, father, Jesse Rodriguez, and son Jimmy Foster.  Each family member will hold onto the memories of Ricky's loving, kind, and funny nature, which brought so much light into their lives.

Ricky's presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His ability to make people feel loved and his knack for bringing laughter to any situation was truly special. He was a man who lived his life with a generous heart and an unwavering commitment to bringing happiness to others.

As we say goodbye to Ricky Theodore Rodriguez, we celebrate the life of a man who was the embodiment of love, joy, and the spirit of Christmas. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him, and his memory will live on in the stories and laughter he leaves behind. Ricky's life was a journey filled with kindness and mirth, and his legacy will be cherished forever.
