Rita Garrison

Rita Garrison, passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 64, in her hometown of Greenville, SC, where she was also born on February 15, 1961. Rita's presence was a comfort to all who knew her.

Rita's life was one of service, as evidenced by her role as a secretary at a local automotive shop. Her professional life was marked by the same warmth and kindness that she extended to her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing in her free time, she found peace by the water. Her love for fishing was a reflection of her appreciation for life's simple pleasures and her connection to the natural world.

Rita's legacy is carried on by her loving family. She is survived by her ex-husband, Leonard Garrison, with whom she shared many cherished memories, and their son, Jeremy Garrison, who will continue to honor her memory. Rita's joy was multiplied with the birth of her grandchildren, Rayna and Dylan Garrison, who brought her immeasurable happiness. Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced with all her heart, and the bond she shared with her grandchildren was one of pure love and joy. Her memory will also be cherished by the mother of her grandchildren Kathi Fricks. Rita was predeceased by her ex-husband, Larry Trippet. 

Rita's life was further enriched by her enduring friendship with Ricky Buchanan and a very special friend Rosa Dunagin a testament to her ability to form deep and lasting connections. Ricky's children, Haley and Hyland, and grandchild, Kashton, also held a special place in Rita's heart, as she extended her maternal warmth to all those around her. 

Rita's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kind spirit, loving nature, and the joy she brought to every encounter will be sorely missed. Rita Garrison's life was a testament to the beauty of a kind heart, and she will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.
