Robert "Bob"
Linn
May 28, 1957 — May 28, 2026
Robert “Bob” Linn passed away May 28, 2026, on his 69th birthday with family at his side at home. Bob unknowingly had been living with advanced stomach cancer and was diagnosed just weeks before he died. He was an honest, fair, and generous man who loved his family and lived out his Christian faith by loving his neighbor.
Bob always helped those in need, but he was especially devoted to supporting immigrant outreach programs where he quickly became a friend to local refugees. His corporate career had sent him all over the world which stemmed his passion for other people, cultures, and traditions. Music was another interest of Bob’s that he used as a means to connect with people, and he had a perpetual love for the great outdoors, specifically the Appalachian Mountains where he and his wife, Wendy, started their relationship nearly 50 years ago. In his retirement, Bob ventured with his family into the founding of Grateful Brew and enjoyed his free time as a loving grandfather.
Bob was preceded in death by his nine-year-old son Ian, and is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Wendy Linn, and their four children, Joel (Candice) Linn, Jessica (Scottie) Tooley, Joseph (Emily) Linn, George (Deborah) Linn, and their nine grandchildren Lucy Tooley, Jack Tooley, Fiona Tooley, Joel Linn II, Alice Linn, Kai Linn, Robert Linn, Daphne Linn, Georgia Linn. Bob left the world knowing he was loved and loved by God. He will be missed by many.
Bob’s latest favorite quote: “Crippled but free, I was blind all the time I was learning to see” by Robert Hunter, 1975
