Robert John Sincavage, Jr.

May 11, 1973 — April 8, 2024

Greenville, SC

Robert John Sincavage, Jr., 50, of Greenville, SC, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2024.  Born on May 11, 1973, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert grew up in Greenville and was a member of the first graduating class of the International Baccalaureate program at Southside High School. He attended Clemson University then earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Excelsior University and a Master’s Certificate from George Washington University.

A serial entrepreneur, Robert began his career at BMW and worked there for over a decade before founding Fusion Managed IT in 2010, then founding Orange Bees in 2016, which was lauded as the fastest-growing company in SC in 2019. His innovative ideas led to successful enterprises that brought useful solutions to many. Gentle and patient, Robert was a natural teacher and mentor to the many who looked to him for guidance. Robert’s exceptional skills in engineering, management, and IT manifested themselves not only in his professional life but also at home, where he loved working on projects both inside and out, renovating his family’s home with impeccable taste, and implementing landscape plans of his design.

One of Robert’s greatest joys was spending time with his wife, Dawn, and their children, Luke and Tess. He was passionate about introducing his family to new experiences and creating memories with them, whether gardening, snowboarding, baking, or traveling. Robert appreciated great food and, especially, great music, live in concert or right in his family room as he hosted listening sessions, putting his record player to good use. On Saturdays in the fall, you could find Robert tailgating with family and friends as he cheered for the Clemson Tigers. He was rejuvenated by time outdoors.

Robert was a meticulous, thoughtful problem solver who prioritized taking care of his immediate and extended family. With Dawn, he had a heart for fostering, and they cared for children through Safe Families and other ministries. Adopted as an infant, Robert found his biological family in 2017; their immediate connection led to a cherished relationship.

Robert valued his church community and was an active long-time member at Devenger Road Presbyterian Church, Horizon Church, and Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church. Robert looked to God to be his strength in life’s trials. He was a kind, generous, brilliant man who will be missed by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by Dawn, his beloved wife of 25 years, and by their children, Luke and Tess. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly Sincavage; his sisters, Shawn Sincavage and Rhonda Boykin; his nieces, Kelsey Boykin, Shelby Boykin, and Taylor Sincavage; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anora, Carter, Nadia, and Denver.

In addition, Robert is survived by his grandmother-in-law, Beverly Peersen; his parents-in-law, Steve and Gwen Cowden; his brother-in-law, Aaron (Michelle) Cowden, with children Chloe and Olivia Jane; his sister-in-law Wendy Cowden; and his sister-in-law Holly (Jerry) Peacock, with children Ariana and Paxton; as well as by his uncle Billy (Peri) McCulloch; cousin Brandi (Sean) O’Neill, with children Maddy and Aidan; and cousins Chaz McCulloch, Ryan McCulloch, and Jesse (Breann) McCulloch. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert John Sincavage; his aunt, Eva Tall; and his grandfather-in-law, Arthur Peersen.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at their home. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church in Greenville.
