Robert William Turner

Robert William Turner died June 18, 2025 in Greenville, S.C. Born March 14, 1945 in Pacolet Mills, S.C., youngest of 9 children to Roy and Beulah Shields Turner. Grew up, educated and lived there for eighteen years. 

Honorably discharged in 1967 from the U.S. Navy after serving a four year enlistment during the Vietnam War.

Retired from Milliken and Company in 2008 after a forty one year career.

Surviving is a daughter and her Husband Pamela and Jonathan Simmons of Greenville, S.C. Grandchildren Alexandra and Andrew of Greenville, S.C. Stepdaughter Meredith Herbert Dixon and husband Bobby and their sons Cooper and Caleb. A Stepson William C. Herbert, IV of Greenville, S.C.

Predeceased by sisters Kathleen Seay and Reba Millwood of Spartanburg. Elizabeth Cook of Pacolet and Joyce Hall of Boiling Springs, S.C. Also predeceased by four brothers Edmond, Billy, Harold and Carroll Turner.

A private gathering will be held at a later date.
