Funeral Service
Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church
Starts at 12:30 pm (Eastern time)
Robert Francis Voska, born November 8, 1947, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 78, following a long and exhaustive battle with dementia. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the love of his children, Joseph (Joey) and Marianne.Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort knowing that Dad’s love, laughter, and spirit will remain with us always.
After childhood in New York, Bob joined the Air Force and met his wife Sheron. They were married in 1970 and made their home in Raleigh in 1971, where Bob worked mechanical manufacturing. After retirement and Sheron’s passing in 2009 Bob found joy in traveling, collecting cards, driving, and giving back through volunteer work.
Bob is survived by his son Joseph Voska and his wife Tori; daughter Marianne Estridge and her husband Mark; sister Anita Fleming and her husband John; sister Judy Plochariski; his beloved grandchildren, Kelsey Voska, Ethan Voska and Emery Estridge; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Sheron Walker Voska, and brothers-in-law Ed Plochariski and Danny Walker.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church (5801 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh) on Tuesday, March 3rd at 12:30pm. Bob’s final resting place will be in the columbarium at Saint Raphael’s, a sacred space within the community he loved and served so faithfully.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association who leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Donations can be sent to: P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
Dad, Grandpa, Bob—your love shaped us, your strength steadied us, and your stories will echo in our hearts forever.
