In Loving Memory of Samuel “Sam” June Norris
September 22, 1967 – August 9, 2026
Samuel “Sam” June Norris, 58, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Born September 22, 1967, Sam was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent his career as a truck driver. He traveled many miles throughout his life, but no matter where the road took him, his family and his faith remained an important part of who he was.
Sam was a devoted member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church, where he was blessed to be part of a church family that meant a great deal to him. His faith in the Lord provided strength, hope, and comfort throughout the many seasons of his life.
Sam is survived by his beloved daughter, Kaylee Marie Norris (Devin); his brother, Frank Ronnie Norris; and his sisters, Denise Ann Norris and Melisa Anne Van Houten (James).
He also leaves behind his nieces, Elizabeth (Jeff), Brittany (Trey), Alexis (Neil), and Kylee (Brendan); and his nephews, Collin (Sarah) and Nicholas, along with extended family, church family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Sam was preceded in death by his beloved son, Todd David Norris, as well as his parents and grandparents. His family finds comfort in their faith and in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Sam’s life cannot simply be measured by his 58 years or by the countless miles he traveled behind the wheel of a truck. His life is measured by the people who loved him, the family who called him their own, the memories he leaves behind, and the place he will forever hold in their hearts.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Sam has simply traveled his final road home. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior, reunited with those who went before him.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”— 2 Timothy 4:7
