Sandy's journey began as the beloved daughter of Col. Norman "Hank" Lambertson and Marguerite Belote Lambertson, who predeceased her, as did her sister, Karen Lambertson Wright. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jef Wilson, and her cousin, Jan Belote, who will continue to honor her legacy.

Sandy's academic pursuits led her to earn a Master's degree in Speech Pathology, a field where she would leave an indelible mark. For 31 years, she dedicated herself to the Houston school system as a speech and language pathologist and teacher, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues with her wisdom and courage.
