Shelby Jean Frady

Shelby Jean Frady, known lovingly as Shelby passed away on September 26, 2026, in Laurens, South Carolina, at the age of 89.

Born on October 26, 1936, in Franklin, North Carolina, Shelby lived a life marked by devotion, quiet strength, and a deep love for the people around her. She was the daughter of the late Lyman Frady and Sue Mae DeLoache. Throughout her life, she carried herself with grace and kindness, and those who knew her best will remember her as a loving, selfless, and gentle woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to others.

Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers David Lyman Frady and his wife Brenda, and Wayne Carroll Frady and his wife Barbara, as well as her beloved daughter, Janice Frady Kelly. These losses were carried with courage and faith, and even in times of sorrow, Shelby remained steady in the love she gave to her family. Her life was rooted in family, and she treasured every opportunity to care for and support those she loved.

Shelby devoted many years of her life to her work as a Customer Service Manager at Winn-Dixie, where she eventually retired after a career that reflected her strong work ethic, patience, and commitment to helping others.
