Sheree Kirby passed away on June 27, 2024, in Marietta, SC. Born in Greenville, SC, on February 12, 1956, Sheree embraced life with a bright-eyed enthusiasm that was positively infectious.
Gifted with an open heart and a giving spirit, Sheree impacted many lives through her generosity. Her husband, David Kirby, stood by her side, sharing in her life’s eventful journey for a beautiful tapestry of years. Together, they nourished a family that grew to include their loving children, Sonya Hamm and David Kirby Jr., who in turn blessed Sheree with the joy of grandchildren Alyssa Kirby, Lindsey Hamm, Andrew Hamm, and Kyle Kirby, and even her great grandchildren, Collin Cantrell, Zachariah Mercer, Kai Galvan-Ruiz, all of whom she adored beyond measure.
Sheree's siblings, Gary, Tony, Ansel, her sister Kimmi O'Shiels, and her sister Tina Coggins, shared in the many chapters of Sheree's rich life, each one filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. Sheree was predeceased by her sister Pamela Coggins, brothers Randy and Robert Coggins, and her parents RC and Elsie Coggins.
Sheree's idea of a perfect day was filled by outdoor activities, including watching birds, deer and even the bears that came into her yard. She has a green thumb like no other, she could grow anything. Sheree enjoyed quality time with her grandbabies, with whom she shared her love of the outdoors with them. Whether it was fishing, (her favorite), camping by the creek, building bonfires, roasting marshmallows, and taking them to places that she enjoyed as a child. She also was a generous and loving person, who always put the needs of others before her own, often taking care of her family, friends, and even strangers. Cooking and hosting cookouts was another way she showed her love and appreciation for those around her. To all that had the chance to know her, loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, which will keep her memory alive.
Also, her husband and her daughter, would like to give a special thank you to her sister, Kimmi O'Shields, for not leaving her side and taking such wonderful care of her. We know that she loved every minute of you being with her.
There will be a graveside service held on Monday, July 1, at 11 AM, at Mountain View Cemetery.
