On December 21, 2025, Sondra Hice left this world, happy and completely satisfied after seeing her 4 grown girls with children of their own, and having the best family and friends.

She was ready to go on so that she could meet up with the ones that left before her and to start watching over her great grandchildren.

Her family included her mother and stepfather, Bonnie Wilkinson Allen and Manuel Allen, her father who went before her, Gene Riley Bane, Sr., her grandparents, Tom and Ventie Wilkinson, Lloyd Riley and Annie Mae Bayne. Her children are Leigh Merrill and Jimmy McDonald of Easley SC, Kady Goode and Gentry of Greenville, SC, Kaci Hice and Heather Hammett of Inman, and the youngest Lori Hice of Greer, SC. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren, Alexis Revan, Hannah, Nicholas and Will Reid, Timothy Gibson, Jeffery, Jenn-Louise Goode, Makayla Gibson, Katelyn Gibson, Tori Hice and Jackson Casey. Her brothers are Gene (Buddy) Bayne, Jr., Russell (Rusty) Bayne and late sister Ginger Wirchball. Her best friend for many years, Mary Jean McMillian of Greer and her much missed sister in law, Teresa (Terry) Bayne.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 3PM, at Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611, with a private family memorial to scatter her in the mountains. Her last wish was for her friends to help look after her family left behind.
