Steve McCoy, of Greenville, SC, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 10, 2026. Born in Greenville, SC, on February 10, 1957, he spent his life in Greenville and Travelers Rest.

He is survived by his daughter Kendall McCoy (of the home), his granddaughter Alana McCoy (of the home), his fiancé Melissa Montes De Oca and her son Jacob Montes De Oca, his brothers Tommy McCoy (Joette) of Greenville, SC, and David McCoy (Shelby) of Taylors, SC. He is preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Terlot, his father Larry McCoy, his grandparents Alvin and Macy McCoy, Homer Thompson, and Ruby Whitfield.

Steve was well known by everyone for his kindness and generosity. A fixer of all things mechanical, he could repair most anything and usually had the part needed in his truck. Steve loved to tell people about what he was working on and show how he did it. His kindness knew no bounds, and he would stop to help anyone stranded on the road. He loved to fish and spend time with his daughter, Kendall, who was the light of his life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Faith Temple Church, 5080 Sandy Flat Rd, Taylors, SC 29687. Pastor Raymond Burrows will officiate.

Steve will be greatly missed by all.
