Sylvia Jean Lynch, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Inman, South Carolina. Born on August 22, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia, her journey through life was filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that touched all who were fortunate enough to know her.
For over 15 years, Sylvia dedicated herself to serving others at Spartanburg Regional Hospital within the custodial department. Her work was a reflection of her generous nature, and she approached every day with a warm smile, embodying the loving and friendly spirit that defined her personality. Sylvia was not only committed to her job but also to the people she encountered; she brightened the lives of patients and colleagues alike.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Carol Eubanks (Ken), and her son, James Hunter, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Sylvia is also survived by her sister, Doris, and her brother, Freddie, alongside her legacy that includes six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Sylvia is reunited in spirit with her dearly departed family, including her parents, Virginia James and Glenn Childers, her husband Solomon Hunter and a daughter Connie Boone, as well as her siblings: Thomas, Gary, Vanessa, Teresa, Darlene, and Linda.
As we remember Sylvia, we celebrate a life rich in love and laughter, a soul who radiated kindness and warmth, and a woman whose spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of generosity and joy will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
