Tammy Mikesell, a loving and kind soul, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, in Piedmont, South Carolina, at the age of 61. Born on May 8, 1964, in Redford, Michigan, Tammy was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend, whose light touched the lives of many throughout her journey.

In her professional life, Tammy dedicated herself as an accounts payable clerk in the automotive industry, where her thoughtful and gentle nature shone through. Colleagues and friends admired her for her ability to bring humor and joy to the workplace.

Beyond her career, Tammy had a wealth of hobbies and interests. She was an avid reader who found solace in the pages of many books, and an enthusiast of all things Disney. A true lover of life, she enjoyed bowling and cherished the simple pleasure of sitting outside with a warm cup of coffee. Above all, Tammy adored her family, friends, and beloved pets, Thor and Kush, who brought her much joy and companionship.

Tammy is survived by her son, Joshua Mikesell; her sister, Cheryl (Paul) Tima; her nephew, Eric (Jennifer) Tima; her sister-in-law Peggy Petri, and her great nieces and nephews, Selena, Austin, Gianna, and Savannah. They will forever carry her memory in their hearts, remembering her laughter, kindness, and the love she shared so freely.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois Petri, as well as her brother, David Petri. Her memory will also live on through those who loved her.

Tammy Mikesell's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the fortune of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
