Terry Lane Swaynghame, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. He was born on December 3, 1965, in Greenville, where he would later build a legacy marked by hard work, creativity, and a deep connection to family and friends.
Throughout his life, Terry was not only dedicated to his craft as a life long carpenter, but also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for Lake Days and fishing, and had an adventurous spirit. His handy nature extended beyond carpentry; he also loved working on cars, bringing both practicality and enthusiasm to every task he undertook and watching wrestling when he could find the time. A true people person, Terry loved connecting with others, sharing stories, and making lasting friendships.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Amanda Irene Swaynghame, Amanda Phillips, and Kayla Efird, who carry forward his spirit and values. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one great-grandchild, who all brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by brothers, Keith Blakley and Jody Swaynghame, and sister, Shannon Johnson (Steven).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Annie Margaret Swaynghame, and his beloved daughter, Terri Swaynghame. He also mourns the loss of his granddaughter, Annie Grace, who holds a special place in the hearts of his family.
As we remember Terry Lane Swaynghame, we celebrate a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love for those around him. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the cherished memories he created and the profound impact he had on the lives he touched.
