Thomas Lee White, known affectionately as Tom to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 62 in Greenwood, SC. Born on September 4, 1963, in Plant City, FL, Tom was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
Tom grew up under the loving guidance of his father, Oscar Lavelle White, and his late mother, Doris Ann Drawdy White. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Ricky White, who is married to Kindra, and Daniel White. Tom's life was enriched by his loving wife, Stacy Lee White, who he married on November 5, 1999, and their cherished sons, Shawn Gamble, with his wife Amanda, and Brett White, with his partner Tori Dye. He was predeceased by his son, Aaron Kyle White, and his niece, Amber Vanwinkle. Tom was a doting grandfather to Cameron and Destiny Gamble, and he held precious memories of his late granddaughter, Skyla Gamble, his nieces and nephews, Paul Fisher, Daniel Sepulveda, and Brittany White.
Tom's professional life was marked by dedication and skill. For 17 years, he worked as a Drill Technician, where he was known for his expertise and work ethic. In the HVAC industry, he spent four fruitful years and he was with Standard Demolition, where he spent a decade. Tom's colleagues remember him not only for his intelligence and creativity but also for his humor, which could lighten the mood on even the most stressful days.
Outside of work, Tom was a man of many passions. He was an avid motorcyclist, enjoying the sense of freedom and adventure that came with every ride. Fishing was another of his favorite pastimes, providing him with moments of tranquility and reflection. An accomplished player, Tom could often be found at the pool table, where his strategic thinking and skillful shots made him a formidable opponent. He also enjoyed the camaraderie of bowling and darts, where his playful spirit and competitive nature made every game memorable.
To say that Tom was funny would be an understatement; his quick wit and infectious laugh could elevate any gathering. He was also intelligent, a trait that served him well in both his personal and professional life. Above all, Tom was a creative soul who found joy in making and fixing things, leaving a lasting impact on the world around him.
Tom's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, humor, and passion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of Tom's remarkable life will continue to inspire and comfort us all.
