Memorial Service
Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals
1:00 - 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Timothy Lee Evett, born on January 11, 2005, passed January 17, 2026. He was a vibrant young man who lived life passionately and with an eagerness to learn through experience. Timothy's adventurous spirit and hands-on approach to life were marked by his ability to pick up a variety of skills, including welding, and his deep love for the great outdoors, where he found joy in hunting, fishing, and hiking.
At heart, Timothy was a creative soul who expressed himself through music. He found solace in the beats of rap and rock, particularly enjoying the works of Juice WRLD and Metallica. His connection to music went beyond enjoyment; it was a way for him to navigate life's complexities and cope with his feelings. In addition to music, Timothy showcased his creativity through drawing and skillful craftsmanship, deriving satisfaction from making tangible objects with his own hands.
Timothy was blessed with a blended family that enriched his life in countless ways. He was deeply loved by his mother, Amber Lane Cruz, and stepfather, Paco Fernandez Cruz. He shared a loving bond with his siblings: Sofia, Marc Anthony, and Julius Fernandez Cruz, as well as his stepsiblings Michael Seabrooke, Zoey McGill, and Teresa McGill. Despite the complexities of family dynamics, he remained fiercely protective of his mother and cherished time with his siblings; especially the older ones among them. Nothing compared to the childlike joy he showed when playing with his little brothers, where his gentleness and real happiness were most visible.
He possessed a profound loyalty to those he loved, always ready to lend a hand or offer support. Timothy was known for his humor, often sharing jokes that could bring laughter to any gathering. Those who were fortunate enough to know him will remember his kindness, his knack for making people feel at ease, and the warmth he radiated, especially during moments spent with family and friends.
Timothy is survived by his devoted mother, Amber Lane Cruz, and stepfather, Paco Fernandez Cruz; siblings Sofia Cruz, Marc Anthony Fernandez Cruz, and Julius Fernandez Cruz; stepsiblings Michael Seabrooke, Zoey McGill, and Teresa McGill; grandparents Andrea Taylor (late James), Stacy Evett, and Frances Mitchell (Jason Mitchell); aunt Jessica Lane Hudson and her children Lane Hudson and Morgan Hudson; uncle Scott Evett (Angela) and their children Destinie Evett, Austin Evett, and Aaron Evett; and extended family Sarah Nicole Searcy (James Harvey Chambers) and Brandy Jessica Searcy (Zachary Rackley), among others.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Gene Evett (Valerie Evett); grandparents Jeffrey Aaron Lane, Sherman Evett, Jr., Earline Jones Evett, Larry McCarley, and Carolyn McCarley.
Timothy Lee Evett leaves behind a legacy of creativity, love, and countless memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him. He may have departed this world too soon, but his spirit will endure in the laughter, music, and moments shared with family and friends.
A memorial service to honor Timothy’s life will be held on February 9, 2026, at the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals located in Greenville, South Carolina, starting at 1:00 PM.
