Tristan Vaughan Morse, 38, of Greenville, South Carolina, entered the arms of Jesus on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep compassion, fierce love, and a heart that touched everyone blessed to know her.

Born on September 4, 1987, in Greenville, Tristan was the cherished daughter of James Ricky Vaughan and Theda L. Vaughan. She grew up surrounded by family who adored her, and she carried that same devotion into every relationship she nurtured throughout her life.

Tristan loved the Lord, and her faith shaped the way she lived—open-hearted, generous, and full of grace. She had a giant heart, and those who encountered her felt it immediately. She loved with passion, sincerity, and a tenderness that made people feel seen, valued, and cared for.

She was a proud mother, and her greatest joy in life was her son, Travis Morse. He was her world, her purpose, and the center of her heart. Everything she did, she did with him in mind.

Tristan also poured her love into her work, managing the family’s coffee shop, Liquid Highway. To her customers, she was more than a barista or manager; she was a bright spot in their day. She remembered names, stories, and struggles. She made people feel special, welcomed, She did more than serve coffee, she served -love. Her presence there will be deeply missed by the entire community.

Tristan is survived by her parents, James Ricky Vaughan and Theda L. Vaughan; her beloved son, Travis Morse; her brothers, Dwain Waller, Beau Vaughan, and sisters in law Keeli Waller and Kaiti Vaughan; her nephew, Dax Waller; her niece, Mia Vaughan; and her grandmother, lovingly known as “Pete” Vaughan. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and her memory. She was preceded in death by her niece, Ryker Waller.

She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who cherished her, and a community forever changed by her kindness.

A special thanks to Connie Morse and Pastors Thomas and Edna Jones.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 12:00 noon at New Hope Baptist Church, 108 New Hope Rd, Pelzer, SC 29669. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service.

Tristan’s love, her laughter, and her beautiful spirit will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew her.

Tribute for Travis

To her beloved son Travis, Tristan was more than a mother; she was a safe place, a constant source of love, and the heartbeat of his world. From the moment he was born, she poured every part of herself into him with a devotion that never wavered. She celebrated his victories, protected his heart, and believed in his future with a fierce and tender love that shaped him into the young man he is today. Travis was her greatest joy, her proudest accomplishment, and the person she loved most deeply. Though her earthly presence is gone, the love she gave him remains—steady, unbreakable, and forever guiding him. Her spirit lives on in him, and every step he takes carries the echo of her heart.
