Veronica Lockaby Smith, affectionately known as Vicki, passed away on August 13, 2025, in Easley, South Carolina. She was born on January 1, 1952, in Greenville, South Carolina. Vicki was a beacon of love and courage, known for her selfless nature and her unwavering commitment to putting others first.

A proud graduate of Easley High School, Class of 1970, Vicki carried the values learned in her formative years throughout her life. Her dedication to her community was evident in her active participation at Easley 1st Baptist Church, where she taught 5th-grade Sunday School, guiding and inspiring the next generation.

Vicki's passion for youth development was further exemplified through her roles as a scout leader with Pack 130 and Troop 37, and ultimately serving as the Cubmaster of Pack 130. As a leader of the Tiger Cub Den, she worked tirelessly to foster a sense of achievement and camaraderie among her scouts. Vicki was also an esteemed member of the Oolenoy Chapter of the Order of the Arrow, achieving the distinction of being part of the first Mother, Father, and Son trio elected to the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow in Boy Scouts of America, a proud accomplishment that underscored her dedication to scouting.

Vicki leaves behind her loving husband, Tommy Smith; her daughter, Jill Smith; her son, Gage Smith; daughter-in-law, Marti Arflin Smith; grandson, Eamon Smith; and her mother, Selena Lockaby. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Lockaby, and her sister, Phylis Lockaby Harville.

Her legacy of love, courage, and community service will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Vicki will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
