Vicky Dooley Mundis

Vicky Dooley Mundis, born on June 9, 1949, in Danville, Virginia, departed world on August 11, 2025, in Taylors, South Carolina. She lived a life rich in compassion and dedication, marked by her unwavering commitment to nursing and her profound love for family and friends.

Vicky pursued her passion for healthcare and earned an Associate's degree in nursing. Over the course of her remarkable 26-year career at Greenville Memorial Hospital, she worked in the Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care Unit, where her skills, knowledge, and empathy touched the lives of countless patients and their families. Her colleagues knew her as a stalwart figure, always willing to lend a helping hand and share her expertise.

Outside of her professional life, Vicky had a vibrant spirit that shone through in her many interests. She loved to travel, exploring destinations such as Mexico, England, California, Arizona, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Each journey brought her joy and enriched her experiences. Her love for gardening was evident in the beautiful blooms she cultivated, reflecting her nurturing nature. Vicky also cherished time spent with friends, where laughter and camaraderie were cherished moments. She had an affinity for shopping and a deep-seated love for animals, traits that endeared her to those around her.

Vicky is survived by her loving husband, Keith Mundis; her stepson, Lee Mundis; and her cherished grandson, Arrow Mundis. She also leaves behind her brother, Larry Dooley, who is married to Susie. Vicky's legacy continues through her family, who will remember her warmth, kindness, and zest for life.

Vicky was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Ronald Dooley, and her mother, Virginia Adele Dooley. Their memories will forever be a part of her family’s life, as they honor the strength and love they shared.
