William James "Will" Garland, 67, of 15 Bates Crossing, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Marietta, SC, he was the son of the late Billy Lee and Polly Kate Peterson Garland. Mr. Garland was a talented musician and lead guitarist with local band, Dark Korner Medicine Show. He was also a beloved father and grandfather, and will be missed by his extended family and friends.
Surviving are his sons, Adrian Garland and his wife Andrea, and Elliott Stuart; his sister, Judy Sloan-Mallory and her husband Chris; four grandchildren, Zeke Garland, Evan Garland, Liam Garland and Ashlynn Stuart; his niece, Deena Gambrell and her son Aidan Gambrell. He was predeceased by a son, Austen Garland.
A memorial service will be held Friday morning, January 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Cremation Society of SC-Westville Funerals.
The family will gather at Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, SC, immediately following the memorial service.
