William “Bill” Simpson of Piedmont, S.C. passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen McCall Simpson, children and grandchildren. Son Michael Simpson (Wendi), William Michael Simpson Jr., Rebecca J Simpson, Hannah L Frazier, all of Piedmont, SC, along with James Matthew Frazier, deployed in the United States Navy, daughters Bambi Crumbly (Tim), and Deanna Simpson of Simpsonville, S.C.

William “Bill” Simpson, who served in the United States Army, was the son of Frank and Gladys Simpson of Laurens, S.C. He worked at Hollingsworth Manufacturing and at GE Power Turbines in Greenville, SC, before retiring after 32 years. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, spending time in the Sun, on the lake, traveling to the beach, enjoying his Triumph cars and his Trike motorcycle, Clemson Football, and he was a friend to all who met and knew him.

Services will be Saturday, September 19, at Cremation Society of South Carolina Westville Funerals, located at 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611

Visitation is from 2:30-3:30 pm with services immediately following. Flowers can be sent directly to the funeral home.
