Yolanda Renee Walker

Yolanda Renee Walker, affectionately known as Yolanda to her friends and family, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 41. Born on July 10, 1984, in Okeechobee, FL, Yolanda was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.

Yolanda's life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family and her boundless capacity to care for others. She is survived by her devoted husband, Sean Walker, and her cherished children, Bailey Yates, Abigail Cook, Jason Walker, and Dakota Cantrell. Yolanda's legacy of love also lives on through her many nieces and nephews, who will forever remember her warmth and gentle spirit. She was a beloved sister to Georgia Jones, Ginger Downs, Charlie Bartels, David Penland, Victoria Parsons, Richard Yates Jr., and Jim Yates, who joined in mourning her passing while celebrating the joy she brought into their lives.

The daughter of the late Richard and Faye Yates, Yolanda inherited a deep sense of compassion and generosity that she carried with her throughout her life. As a homemaker, she created a nurturing environment that was the heart of her family's home. Her presence was a source of comfort and stability, and her hands were never idle when there was an opportunity to help someone in need.

In a final act of selflessness, Yolanda was able to save three lives through organ donation, achieving a lifelong goal of hers to save at least one life. This extraordinary gesture was a fitting culmination of a life lived with purpose and love, and it serves as a powerful reminder of her passionate and thoughtful nature.

Yolanda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her passion for life and her ability to see the good in everyone will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
