Dennis Paul Clark, a cherished soul passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC. Born on September 12, 1946, in DuBois, PA, Dennis's life was a testament to the power of dedication and commitment to his family and faith.
Dennis's academic journey was marked by excellence, culminating in a Doctorate in Psychology. His passion for mental health care led him to a distinguished career as the Assistant Medical Director at Clearfield Jefferson Mental Health Center, where he served for over 35 years. His commitment to helping others extended beyond his professional life as he owned and operated his own private practice, touching the lives of countless individuals with his expertise and compassion.
An educator at heart, Dennis shared his knowledge and experience by teaching classes at Penn State DuBois. He also served as a campus counselor, guiding students through their academic and personal challenges with patience and understanding. His dedication to the field of psychology and his desire to nurture the next generation of professionals left an indelible mark on the community.
Dennis's interests and talents were as diverse as they were profound. A lover of large dogs, he found joy and companionship in their presence. His musical talents were a gift to all who heard him play the piano or the organ at St. Mary's Church, where he devoted over 40 years of service. The same hands that skillfully played the keys also spun records as he and his beloved wife, Mary Jane, DJ'd for many weddings and local parties, bringing joy and celebration to numerous occasions.
Athleticism was another facet of Dennis's life, having played college basketball with vigor and sportsmanship. His competitive spirit was matched by his deep commitment to his Catholic faith, which he lived out with fervor and grace. Dennis was a pillar of his church community, embodying the teachings of his faith in every aspect of his life.
Dennis was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Mary Jane, having been married for 50 years they built a foundation of love and happiness, he was also preceded in death by his son, Gregory Clark. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in his son, Jason (Debbie) Clark, and his adored grandchildren, Asia (Spencer) Cole, Isabel Clark, and Alexandra Clark. His memory will also be cherished by several cousins.
